Tebogo Ditshego (BA Hons: Communications and Media Studies)

Tebogo Ditshego is the Group CEO of Ditshego Investment Group, CEO of Ditshego Media, Chairman of the South African Reading Foundation, and Judge in season four of SABC 1 programme One Day Leader.
He grew up in Kagiso, which is in the West Rand of Johannesburg and started his first company Ditshego Media in 2011. Three years later, on 5 February 2014, he was listed as one of Forbes Magazine’s top 30 African Entrepreneurs under the age of 30.
He is the founder of South Africa’s biggest online book club @ReadAbookSA which has over 35,500 followers on Twitter, and over 13,000 books recommended by its followers.
In 2015, Tebogo Ditshego was listed as one of Fast Company Magazine’s top 100 most creative South Africans in business. Later that year, the Sowetan featured him as one of South Africa’s top 100 young bosses. In 2014, he was also named one of the top 200 Young South Africans by the Mail and Guardian.
Tebogo Ditshego was nominated for the University of Johannesburg’s Alumni Digitas Award in 2015, which honours graduates who achieve a dynamic legacy of accomplishment. In 2006 and 2007 he was elected twice consecutively to serve in the University of Johannesburg’s Student Representative Council. He also represented the University of Johannesburg twice consecutively at the annual Southern African Communications Conference for his honours research essays.
Tebogo Ditshego is a former freelance journalist writing for Avusa Media publications such as the Business Day, Sowetan and Sunday Times and he holds an Honours in Communications and Media Studies from the University of Johannesburg and a certificate in Business and Entrepreneurship from the University of Wisconsin in the US.
He holds an Honours in Communications from the University of Johannesburg, and he has a certificate of completion in a Business and Entrepreneurship course from the University of Wisconsin in the US.
Head – Ditshego Media Kenya
Suzanne Semenye heads up Ditshego Media’s Kenya office as Marketing Consultant. She has worked with various local and global clients to provide market insights, brand strategies, ideas, concepts and solutions that target youth. She has conceptualized and founded an online forum on social media for moms dubbed For Babies by Mums (with over 4,000 members) that educates moms on crucial aspects of child rearing with bias to pediatric nutrition. Upon completion of the Washington Fellowship, Suzanne intends to create an enterprise curriculum and a business incubation center for young women. She also intends to scale up information dissemination for women and girls on health and well-being.
Oscar Tshifure (NDip: Public Relations Management)
Director: Market Analysis and Innovation
Oscar Tshifure is a seasoned Government Relations, Public Relations and Reputation Management specialist. He holds a National Diploma in Public Relations Management from the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) and is completing his BTech in Public Relations and a Diploma in Public Administration.
With eight years’ experience, Oscar has worked with various clients in sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Waste Management, Education, Research, SETA’s, Technology, Accounting, Finance, Mining and Chemical including all three spheres of Government.
An experienced conference speaker, workshop facilitator and media trainer with great emphasis on personal reputation and how it builds your personal brand. Oscar also serves as a Founding Member and Director at the South African Reading Foundation (SARF), trading as Read A Book SA.
